In the surrounding area, visitors can explore the Erawan National Park and its famous seven-tiered waterfall. The park is open daily from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm and admission is 300 baht per person. Visitors can swim in the crystal-clear pools or hike through the lush jungle trails.
Other nearby attractions include the Bridge Over the River Kwai, the Kanchanaburi War Cemetery, and the JEATH War Museum. These sites offer a deeper understanding of the history of the Thai-Burma Railway and the impact it had on those involved.
